The Gang...Last friday i was invited to a dance in Ontario by one of my friends. I was very excited because it was a full Tongan dance. I had not gone to one in a very long time. Not to mention that it was right after Thanksgiving and usually there is nothing going on during the holidays. We headed out there and got there pretty early.
My sister tina and javier were invited and they took their partners with them. The dance was pretty good and there were alot of people from different parts of southern California. The end was coming soon when Alma's fiance decided to head out early to have dinner. When Alma had a feeling that we should stay just a bit longer. So we did. Out of nowhere someone fell on the dance floor. I shouted out " someone got shot". Alma did not believe me but then the leader yelled out that no one should go outside and that we should lock all doors. Is this really happening? It turns out that there was a fight outside the stake center and they decided to end it with guns. We were all in shock. This does not happen in any of our dances.
They called 911 and had the police department come. We then were told we could not leave and we all had to be interviewed. yup! we all got interviewed, finger printed, picture taken, and we were car searched. HELLO! we didnt do it! the ones who did it were gone already! but we were all very cooperative. Alma was let go first, she waited for me in the car. Once your car was searched you were taken out of the parking lot and the place was surrounded but like 15 cop cars not to mention all the cops inside the building. We were not allowed to go to the bathroom or anything. Alma and i got released around 3:30am and got home around 4:00am.
First of all how embarising! How could this happen in our building? How sad and unnessacery. I am very sad and dissapointed in these people. They had no respect for anything! I think i am done with dances. I do not want any of this. Funny thing is that most of the cops did not know who We were.. Common questions were: What is this? Why are you all here? How often do you do this? Why are you all gathered here? Great missionary moment had it not been for that sertain shooting. :(
Here is an excert of the news: (Ido not own any of this and only intend to share it with my friends. )

Two men shot and injured outside Ontario church dance [Updated]
November 28, 2009 10:58 am
Two men attending a dance at an Ontario church were shot after a fight broke out late Friday, police said.
Officers with the Ontario Police Department responded about 11:47 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints along the 500 block of West Francis Street, said Cpl. Bill Russell. Two men, ages 19 and 18, were found with gunshot wounds and were taken to hospitals for treatment, Russell said. Police did not know their condition.
Russell said the men were attending a dance at the church when a fight broke out and an unknown number of suspects opened fired outside. Police did not know whether the two men were targeted or were hit randomly. No one has been arrested and the motive for the shooting is under investigation, Russell said.
[Updated 2:17 p.m.: Keith Atkinson, a spokesman for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said one of the men was struck in the stomach and back, the second was hit in the arm. Both are expected to survive. The two were attending a dinner and dance put together by a Tongan congregation.
Church officials said they were baffled and concerned about the shooting because they did not know whether the victims were targeted. "Nobody seems to know why it occurred or what exactly provoked it, " Atkinson said, adding that a police investigation would help church members know what actions they will need to take in the future to ensure the safety of their members.
"We are certainly concerned about that," Atkinson said.]
